Ingo Hegny

Ingo Hegny is a senior officer for industrial technologies in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility & Infrastrukture (BMIMI). Before joining the BMIMI, he was a researcher at the Vienna University of Technology, where he gained his doctorate with honours.

Dr. Hegny is a member of strategic management in the field of production technologies and the RTI focus on the circular economy. He is responsible for the establishment and supervision of the Austrian platform ‘Industry 4.0’, a cross-sector initiative to accompany the upcoming transformation processes on the way to intelligent production.

Dr. Hegny is also involved in a number of European initiatives, in particular as Delegate in the Governing Board of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking.
