Knut Dethlefsen

Knut Dethlefsen heads the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung’s (FES) Competence Center on the Future of Work in Brussels.

Previously, he held leadership positions for the foundation in Shanghai, Jerusalem, and Warsaw for over two decades, most recently serving as Director of the FES office in Washington, D.C. A graduate of Georgetown University, he possesses profound expertise in global governance and transatlantic relations. As an experienced advisor to policymakers, he facilitates complex dialogues between politics, trade unions, and civil society.
